Reefer Container Repair

Inspection
  • Begin by thoroughly inspecting the reefer container for damage or issues. Pay attention to the exterior, interior, and refrigeration unit.

  • Look for dents, corrosion, leaks, and damaged insulation.

Documentation

Documenting all damage(s) and issues that was found during the inspection. Taking clear pictures and recording it down to create a repair plan.

Cleaning

Clean the interior of the container to remove any debris, dirt, or residues that may affect the cargo or the refrigeration unit's efficiency.

Reefer Machinery Repair

Diagnostic Evaluation:

To determine the root cause or malfunction, begin by doing a complete diagnostic evaluation of the refrigeration unit.

Component Inspection:

Inspect key components, including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, fans, and electrical connections, for wear, damage, or signs of malfunction.

Electrical System:

Examine the electrical system for loose connections, damaged wires, and faulty relays. Test and calibrate temperature controllers and sensors for accuracy.

Compressor Maintenance:

Inspect the compressor for oil leaks, excessive vibrations, and proper oil levels. Verify that the compressor is receiving sufficient power and operating within its specified temperature and pressure ranges.

Condenser and Evaporator Inspection:

Clean and inspect the condenser and evaporator fans for damage and proper operation. Examine for frost or ice build-up on the evaporator coils, as this can impair cooling efficiency.

Cooling System Check:

Verify that the refrigeration unit's cooling system (e.g., refrigerant circulation) is functioning correctly.

Exhaust and Airflow:

Ensure proper exhaust and ventilation to maintain temperature control and prevent overheating of the machinery.

Fault Code Analysis:

Review and interpret fault codes displayed on the refrigeration unit's control panel to pinpoint specific issues.

Replacement Parts:

If necessary, faulty or worn components will be replaced with genuine or recommended replacement parts.
